The competition is heating up in the search market, shortly after my last post about how Yahoo called, Google called today too. They have noticed, recognized and have selected from a list of key accounts for their specialist to assist us to further improve our search marketing experience with Adwords. In simple terms, Google wants me to spend more money with them lah.

I was nevertheless quite impressed by their service call and being ‘chosen’ out of the tens or hundreds of thousands clients. Essentially, they have noticed I have been using mainly the search network but not the content network and they would like to help me achieve my objectives of getting more visibility through their partners’ sites. It started off with them the Google representative asking me about the objectives and the specific products that I would like to focus on. An invitation for them to drop by my office was politely turned down as according to that person, the same can be achieved over emails and phone calls.

They took down 3 of products and would help to set a campaign strictly for content network exposure. He went as far as advising me to track the outcome using Google Analytics as even he confessed that the competition on the search network is getting really hot and ppc has been heading north and the trend seems to be pointing in the same direction too.

Apart from objectives, he even asked about the kind of words I would use to describe my products and the key unique selling points of those products. Assured me, the campaign will be ready by late next week as it’s the long weekend coming up and it’s entirely up to me to activate the campaign. It remains to be seen what they can do for me.
